Making excuses already Hirsty?STI99V5 wrote:I always thought Time Attack event would be more successful on a Saturday as opposed to a long weekend or usual Sundays. Reason being, it's a long day and the event goes well into dusk and a Saturday would make everyone relaxed enjoying it fully, with Sunday rest. This also could allow Interstate cars (if one was interested) to enter giving them extended time to get over here and back. Saturday's are proven success with Drift events doing well running well into the night and also I've taken note of interstate clubs running their 100+ car events on a Saturday.
Anyway, just saying it as an open suggestion, I'm still keen to enter my Subaru this upcoming event.I assume it's all booked and locked in for this year but maybe future TA's could be decided on a Saturday day/dusk timeslot.

"Car was purchased over 2 years ago from Melbourne. It was relatively stock with minimal rust. It is a bit of a hobby car for me and over the last two years I have been slowly restoring it to pristine working order and work on it myself as much as possible. People ask me if I've finished working on my car yet, but I don't believe I'll ever be finished! Especially now that I've started performance modifications, albeit only light ones at this stage. This will be the first time I've taken this car out onto the circuit, actually first time I've taken any car onto a circuit. The original plan was to keep this car strictly road, but maturity must be getting this best of me because I find it too dangerous to use the car to its full potential and explore the limits on the streets. I think it's time to stop worrying about the paint and set some lap times!"

"The 32 Gts-t was obtained back in 2006 fairly stock with only exhaust & intake filter modifications with original RB20Det engine. It first saw the track at KPM track days at Mallala followed by open session back in 2008/09. As a result the past 2 years has seen the RB20 replaced with an RB25Det - starting the chain of modifications (and breakages) while maintaining it's street legality (still a daily). After competing in last years' Time-Attack look forward to what this year has to bring."
