Are you allowed to use more than one vehicle throughout the challenge?

The Mitsubishi GSR/EVO Club Committee is aware that competitors may sell/omit their nominated cars throughout the series and will therefore compete with a different vehicle for the remaining events. This is not dissimilar to those competitors who are fortunate to be able to compete in multiple AWD Turbo marques throughout the series.

It is mandatory that we will require a new application form (and full payment) for each new nominated competition car. Competitors will not be penalised and already gained points will carry over. However, if complied to Club Class originally and the new car complies in Open Modified Class, then the points from Club Class will be relatively transferred to Open Modified Class and adjusted to suit. Conversely, if complied to Open Modified Class originally and new car complies in Club Class, then the competitor will still have to remain in Open Modified Class. This rule is consistent with previous AWD Turbo Challenge series.

To have the fortunate ability to compete in several AWD Turbo marques throughout the series may not be an advantage if modifications vary from vehicle to vehicle, and will most definitely be an additional cost to consider. If a competitor is required to compete with a different vehicle than originally nominated, it is recommended that they notify the series organisers immediately at entries@gsr-evo-club.net

Looking forward to the challenge! Still trying to fight some minor oil leaks, most probably have to deliver to Mike Dale Automotive VR4 specialist to fix these little idiosyncrasies. There will be no extra points allocated to my car for this service, although plenty in reserve. :D

What happens if we dont all get in some of the events? For example mt alma... again will be filled really quickly and I would think atleast half the entries wont get accepted?
The Hillclimbs are also getting more and more like that too?

Hi Brenton,

The benefit of registering for the AWD Turbo Challenge is the turn around of entry forms and announcements to competitors. As soon as the organisers are notified of event entry form releases, competitors are immediately notified and thus all have equal opportunity to enter. This is not dissimilar to previous AWD Turbo Challenge series. In the instance that competitors unfortunately miss out on selected events, the series offers a best of 7 out of 9 rounds, which will provide competitors with 2 additional opportunities to increase their ranks. That said, MGEC will take no responsiblity for those competitors who miss out on selected events.

Mine as well!

I see that they're forking out $10K to extend the bitumen for you - isn't that kind? :-P

Mr. Plow is not the only competitor to be held responsible for the increase in entries fees!

35 Mt Alma entries gone in the first 2 hours of release!
