RIP Mirage Gearbox

Postby RS EVO on Mon Mar 12, 2007 6:25 pm

Another great track day, great weather in the end.
After Myself running some 1:25 laps and Diana running some 1:26's the gearbox found it had enough, totally stripping 4th gear and leaving a pile of teeth in the bottom of the gearbox, but with a gearbox only ever made to have 80kw through it who could blame it.
Will have her up and running again very soon for the hill climbs

Thanks to those who helped put on a great day out there, we had alot of fun.

Very impressive break. I was very impressed at your car - ( I was in the Dark Blue WRX in the E class with you ). Must be fun on the street when you get traction :)

Ouch. Bad luck hope to see no grip back out for the next track day with a stronger gearbox.

Ruthless and Toofless.

One thing is certain about track days: They tend to find any weaknesses in the car. Hope you get it back better for next time.

She will be up and running very soon for the show & shine, the plates still suit alittle just NO GRIP in the gearbox as apposed to the tyres for a change
