Laps?

Postby Rolls on Mon Mar 05, 2007 3:49 pm

This will be my first time out to the track, does any one know roughly how many laps we should be seeing, will it be all at once or will it be in several slots. Also what is the time schedule for the day, I couldn't seem to find it.

Cheers.

not sure how many sessions each driver will see, with 50 entrants i would expect at least 6 sessions, with at least 6 - 8 laps in each. this is plenty. you get pretty stuffed and its all you and the car will need per session.

Hell that's a lot of laps, I might sit it out for a few of them, give the car a rest. Thanks for the advice.

We limit the entries to 50. Group size is limited to 10 cars.
This gives at least 4 sessions of 12 minutes track time, but no more than 5. It depends how many drop out towards the end of the day.
In 12 minutes, you should be getting around 6 or 7 hot laps plus a cool down. So that's 28 to 30 laps for 4 sessionsThe session times can change if there are vehicles to recover from breakdowns on the track, or oil on the track etc than has to be cleaned up.
The time schedule is included in the supp regulations that everyone needs to read.
