04 STi Munched

Postby Wilbagsr on Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:21 pm

It started off as another day at the track.... untill all went went wrong for poor old STi owner Dryden "macca" MacDonald!!!

Posting the Fastest time in a rex around mallala wasn't enough for this chap, noooo, he had to take it to the limit following a low 1:20.30 round on his previous hot lap, by destroying his freshly built motor

Cleraly thinking of the rest of the pack, he keeps the car out of the line and heads off in to pit lane. Of coarse thinking the best not the worst, keeps driving until a marshall pulls him over screaming "your cars on fire!!!", while running over.

This takes the Snapped Conrod Of The Week Award, if not for probably being the only MGEC member to snap a rod this week and keep a smile on his face in the process. (didnt even throw his helmet!)

Who needs a built motor when Steve can slap one together in a night using parts from other blown engines and still post a DAMN quick time. Easy to see how he is the evo specialist to see in Adelaide. Not to mention, he can drive!!!

Was it a BUILT motor or a STOCK 2.5 put in to sell the car...???
BUILT motors don't normally let go that easy.
If it was BUILT I'm interested to know what else failed to see it end so badly.

it was a STOCK 2.5 with forgies running standard boost. it wasnt put into sell the car or it wouldnt have forgies in it and the receipt for the build wouldnt have included bigger injectors and a bigger turbo. anyway ive finaly got off my butt and dropped the car off at Seans who i am absolutely certain is going to do the rightie and sort it. bloody scoobies... get rid of em and get an evo i say...
