Window Tinting (SA)

Postby Catford on Sun Oct 24, 2010 10:28 am

Hi,

Can we have some discussion on places for window tinting and your experiences, I am looking to get some tint before summer.

I have always used SunGard Superstore 2/68 Paringa Ave, Marion SA 5043.

Looking for something in the city or even Lonsdale area would work.

Car needs a detail and tint; possibly D & S Auto would be the best option?

Also, what is the local law on window tint grade these days?

Cheers.

35% front and rear is the legal limit IIRC.

I've used D&S twice (interior clean on the Colt, and interior + outside detail on the Evo). They use good quality products that didnt leave the steering wheel and dash slippery, can highly recommend them.

I always Use Sunguard at Holden Hill on North east road. They do a terrific job and do not charge any where the prices of dealers or tintacar.
The owner of the Holden Hill store also has a store at Pooraka so I would also recommend that one.
I pay between $200-250 depending on the car. Cash help a little as well :D

The legal limit it SA is 70% front and 35% rear, which 70% is pretty much clear!

Everywhere else in Australia is 35% front and rear

As usual SA is useless!!! LOL

i've used the place on the angas and princess street - used to be sunguard, but unsure as to what the name is now - they've done my chaser, ralliart (twice) and a couple of my rellies cars - the job has been great and if you do a cashy on a saturday, then it will set you back only $200-220.

about same price at instant windscreens south rd edwardstown. they did a great job on my 02 lancer coupe and when my mate brought his xr6 over from vic and he had to remove the tint, they gave him a tool and some cleaning solution at no charge. pretty good group there i think...
