Hopefully we will have Supp Regs for Round 5 of the SA OZGymkhana Championship on December 7th and 8th back soon.
This is also the National OZGymkhana round where we will crown someone the UME National OZGymkhana Champion. Looking forward to a fantastic weekend of drifts, skids and burnouts.
Competition will start at 12noon on the Saturday and run to twilight, then start again on Sunday for a full day of OZGymkhana.

OzGymkhana wrote:Finally had a chance to sort the points table out after the 4 rounds. When you take out the dropped round we have a tie for first place in the SA OZGymkhana Championship with Garry Dodd and Michael Willis both on 167 points. If that was not close enough Lachy Smith is just 1 point behind on 166 points in third place. To make things even more interesting, Garry Dodd can not make this event which means he will have to rely on the 52 points as his worst round that he has in the bank, meaning that both Michael Willis and Lachy Smith both have to make the shoot out and preform well in the shoot-out to claim the 2013 SA OZGymkhana Championship. Really looking forward to see how this pans out over the weekend. We will get the full point score up on the web-site tomorrow.

The actuator linkage broke in the top 4 shootout. Still managed 3rd outright for the day which was enough to take the SA title.
The top 3 would now have minutes to learn a new compilcated pattern to race for the national title.
CVD offered me his car to drive for a chance to win the national title - True racing spirit.
Here are a couple of runs from Saturday.

OzGymkhana wrote:.Big congratulations go out to everyone that competed at UME's first ever National OZGymkhana. It was great to see such a top quality field. This years event was won by Victorian Zac Edwards who won our first ever OZGymkhana last year. What a mighty machine Zac has in that EVOMirage, with its EVO 6 running gear and lightened body work. We threw a lot of new tests at the competitors today with 720 d...egree turns, 360 degree turns in a very small box, gates that were like threading the needle and the majority of the competitors nailed them. I really feel that a lot of the competitors have really come to grips with what our events are all about, and I would really love to see how close Zac Edwards would get to the man that made Gymkhana famous Ken Block.
