BSM Cruise - 28th January

Postby misbhvn on Wed Jan 16, 2008 12:08 pm

I have copied this text from a thread on nissansilvia.com for anyone who wants to come down and have a nosey and support a good cause.

This is a cruise which Mark and Julie "the olds" run every year for youth suicide awareness and in memory of there son Ben.

"Since Ben (aka dr1ft_pig13) left us on 1st Feb 2005, we have held a memorial cruise on/near the date, to raise awareness of youth suicide. The cruise has out grown the original starting point. Those who went last year will remember what it was like, some 130 cars trying to park in a space for 90. So we are going to move it from its sentimental start location.

It has now been CONFIRMED...it will be held on the holiday Monday 28th Jan . Apologies to all those who are going to Melbourne & Murray Bridge but the following 2 week-ends are already taken by other events. For those new to NS.com....you are most welcome to participate in this special charity cruise.

Location: ETSA Park
Time: 1pm meet
Donation: Gold Coin going to the White Wreath Assoc for Youth Suicide Education
Tradition: A Teddy Bear on an empty seat in your vehicle

This year we have invited Means 13 & NEB 19 to lead the cruise. Sam & Tim were Ben's best mates, unfortunately her200sx will be in Melbourne because Shannon was also invited to lead (although I am not sure we would have been able to keep up with her through the hills).

"the NS.com OLDS-Jules & Mark"

PS ...all those who need to apply to the Transport Dept for a single day rego. permit.....PM us if you need a letter of request/explaination"

Hope to see a couple of you down there

Aimee :)

I have been on MANY of ns cruises and never ever had an issue..... not in the sprinter, not in the 180 and not in the evo.....

Not sure which ones you have been to, but I respect your decision.

Ive been on a couple (and only a couple - and a while ago too) I never saw any police 'action' - maybe things have changed??

Still a very good cause to have a cruise - I hope it every success it can get!!

Fixed for you before she sees it and stabs you in the head with a blunt object :P

It should be an awesome cruise. Plenty of mad cars out there too - the amount of ppl getting permits for their cars is crazy! Do your part for youth suicide and support a great cause!
