I got bumped off the end of the 12 in aggregate for being weak on Saturday in the EVO X. Still happy with a final 47 second run up the hill though :)
I learned the old lesson - "If you lift for a second, thats where you will finish". In my case out of the 12 8)

I was laughing at BJs slicks on Saturday morning. Come Sunday afternoon I wished we had bought ours.....

There is nothing funny about Michelins!

MGEC Committee hope to release AWDTC R2 results out over the weekend. Delay due to SDCC provisional result implications.

More choice at Nth Adel or Norwood, even though Mawsons is closest.

Realistically you will all be caught up in the moment of who won, who cheated, who sucks etc... that you'll be hanging around Gepps Cross for a while before heading off...

Less entries on Sunday the better; less traffic for the lighter karts :D

Holly crap kart 35 was .002 of the lap record on lap 4 in qualifying!

I wonder if 'old-mate-go-kart-racer-has-been' set the lap bench mark?!!! I hope he felt good about bringing the top 3 karts in for manditory pit stops in the deciding race to tell us to tidy ourselves up out there because we are not professional racers... "If we were any good we would be racing karts like he 'used' to". Blah; What a tool! Nice customer relationship to keep car clubs using their venue. :?

Nice work Reuben Coulthard who dodged the carnage to take outright win. Top drive bloke, keeping the 'modified class' honest!

Thanks Tristan. Figured I better join up and see how many enemies I made resulting from Sunday night.

As I mentioned in my email today, thank you for the opportunity to compete in the kart race on Sunday. I certainly enjoyed the competition and the "rubbing". My apologies for not tagging along for a few beers afterwards ... and also my apologies for my late arrival. I had been in Kadina all day for a car show with SAU-SA and rushed down to the kart night. I also wanted to get the missus and the lad home to help unpack the car, and totally forgot about the after drinks offer. Didn't mean to appear rude. I'm normally never one to turn down a beer and a chat.

To be honest I was disappointed (as you were) with the staff's actions and decision to pull (3 of?) you guys into the pits so late into the last race. I was checking over my shoulder wondering what happened to you guys. I am certain if that 'pit stop' had not occurred, the final race results would have certainly been different ... and I'd have you guys biting at my heels fighting for the #1 spot. I also hope no guys were offended by the bumping being given and received. My experience in such fun races is that the top 4 are always the roughest. I endeavoured to be the 'gentleman' where I could ... but it is a race afterall.

Not necessarily ... "given and received" :P I tried to be the gentleman where I could ... but I got bumped a fair bit myself. So it was time to give it back :P

Round 2 of the 2010 series headed down to Hindmarsh Valley for the two day ASP Mount Alma Mile Hillclimb 10th - 11th April. With a slight restrictive alteration to the climb from 2009, mixed with changing weather conditions and some 145 starting competitors, the event made for some interesting racing.

Congratulations to Tristan Catford (Open Modified), Keir Wilson (Modified Class), and Matthew Mullett (Club Class) for winning their respective classes at the Autosport AWD Turbo Challenge Round 2 - ASP Mount Alma Mile Hillclimb.
