FS: Street Reg + Track Ready Evo VI

Postby TPG on Mon Dec 23, 2013 4:35 pm

Item: Mitsubishi Evo 6 GSR
Cost: EOI 15-20K depending on level of modification
Location: Registered in WA, Currently in SA
Condition: Fair to Good.
Additional Info: WA Rego

Track / Time Attack based evo VI - still has street rego in WA and has never been defected.

I'm the 1st owner in Australia and owned since 2007, has history of modifications at Autoworkshop/TMS & Racetorque in WA and Steve Knight Racetech in SA.

It is a White Evo 6 GSr with ~80k kms. Quality parts used throughout but the main items that set it apart / give it track focus are:

GP Sports wide front fenders
MadMac wide rear arches
265*35*18 Hankook R-S3's
MCA RED Suspension
ATP Gold
SKR Tune - 300kw on E85 @ 2 bar
Trust Ti-R exhaust
Front Canards / ARC winglets
Carbon boot
TMS Parcel Shelf Harness Mounts
Performance Friction 2pc Front Brake Discs + PC35 Endless Pads

+all other usual mods which can be listed for serious buyers.

Currently in SA, looking to sell in WA for mere fact of compliance.
For people in SA, do your own research about Regency as I have no idea about it.
Great base for someone looking for a dedicated track car, or one could dial it back a notch and have a nice widebody street car, or stock bodied evo.
Genuine inquiries welcome.

Negotiable pricing between 14k (close to stock) and 20k (as is) based on level of modification at time of sale.

Close to stock is along the lines of:
IX turbo (no ATP Gold)
Stock Body panels (no widebody)
IX rims (no 57D's)
Stock interior (no harnesses / no or cheaper gauges)
Stock ECU (no Autronic or 7ecu)
Stock suspension or cheaper coilovers.

Is there any reason why you don't want to move it to SA rego - wouldn't it make it easier to sell (assuming the car is in SA)?

As far as I'm aware, if you move the rego over, then sell it, no inspection will be necessary, but if somebody else from SA buys it, they have to re-register it in SA which definitely requires an inspection.

Heard too many stories about cars just needing to be rego swapped, suddenly having to go through regency as well.
Whether they are true or not, I'm not sure - but at this point not going to roll the dice.

Someone in SA could very well buy it de-reg, cage it and have a nice track car. So it could certainly be sold in SA this way.

Alternatively if someone is genuinely keen and wants it in SA Reg, then the re-reg process can be done.
Although I would be seeking a decent non-refundable deposit in case it actually needs inspection/Regency (as I presume it's too late by that stage to say "no I won't re-reg it")

When is a vehicle identity inspection (Tier 2) required?

A vehicle identity inspection (Tier 2) is required if the vehicle:

was last registered interstate, unless you hold a current interstate registration certificate in exactly the same name as the intended South Australian registration - this includes vehicles that may have been registered in South Australia previously

You shouldn't need to get the identity inspection to transfer the rego over to SA if it is in your name already. Is it stolen???

100% agreed I *shouldn't* need to get one.
